The web appears as a marvelous instrument to diffuse scientific knowledge, because it is free, interactive, and fast. However, internet is non selective and allows false and misleading information to be published side by side with true information. Ease of access is not favorable to the diffusion of solid scientific information because science relies on peer review, a practice which is absent on the internet.
